 Position Title: Senior Land Specialist

Experience: 10+ years

Education: BS degree preferred or several additional years of applicable experience. 

Location: Headquartered, Akron Ohio. Travel within the Appalachian Basin. 

Category: Exempt employee


Overview: Pin Oak Energy Partners is currently seeking an experienced Senior Land Specialist.  The successful candidate must work independently and have excellent multitasking skill sets. The ideal candidate must have outstanding leadership skills along with a “get it done” attitude. 

Responsibilities: The Senior Land Specialist will report directly to the Chief Business Development Officer and work in a collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible plan/coordinate/perform the following: 

Administration and maintenance of land/lease records, including oil and gas leases, rights of way/easements and real estate (fee) holdings; 

Maintain and disseminate acreage/property reports/statistics;

Work with GIS team in the mapping of land/lease holdings (including real estate) and pipelines and rights-of-way; 

Engage in and coordinate in-fill lease acquisitions, including working with third party brokers, title research/abstracting firms, plus lease take-offs; 

Coordinate and arrange for drilling titles;

Prepare and modify unitization/consolidation agreements; 

Prepare various exhibits and schedules for transaction documents; 

Assist with the negotiation and preparation of various land/lease trade agreements, such as farm-in/farm-out agreements, joint participation agreements, joint operating agreements, and swaps & trade; 

Work with company Operations team on matters related to pipelines and rights-of-way, damage claims/settlements, and consumer/house gas.  

The successful candidate must adapt and be dynamic to perform beyond duties written on a position description.
